How to get from Copenhagen Airport (CPH) to Tivoli Hotel

Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center is located at Arni Magnussons Gade 2, 1577 Copenhagen V, not far from Copenhagen Central Station and the city center. Below are the most common and practical options for getting there from the airport:

By Train

  • Duration: Approx. 25–30 minutes total
  • Cost: Approx. DKK 36 (one adult ticket)
  • How:
    1. At the airport, follow signs for “Train” (DSB) — the station is located under Terminal 3.
    2. Take a train towards Copenhagen Central Station (København H) — departs every 10–20 minutes.
    3. From the Central Station, it’s a 15-minute walk to Tivoli Hotel. Alternatively, take Bus 34 or a short taxi journey.

By Metro

  • Duration: Approx. 30–40 minutes
  • Cost: ~DKK 36
  • How: 
    1. From Terminal 3, take Metro M2 toward Vanløse.
    2. At Kongens Nytorv (or Christianshavn or Frederiksberg), transfer to:
      • M3 (Cityringen) toward Copenhagen Central Station (København H).
    3.  Get off at København H and walk (~15 min) or take Bus 34.

This option requires a transfer between metro lines and may involve some waiting

By Bus

  • Duration: 35–50 minutes
  • Cost: Around DKK 36
  • How:
    • Take Bus 5C from the airport toward Husum Torv.
    • Get off at Hovedbanegården (Copenhagen Central Station).
    • Then take Bus 34 or 97N toward Sydhavnen or walk to the hotel.

Not the fastest option but useful if traveling outside train hours.

By Taxi

  • Duration: Approx. 15–20 minutes (depending on traffic; rush hours take a huge toll on traffic in Copenhagen)
  • Cost: Approx. DKK 250–300
  • How:
    • Taxis are available directly outside Terminal 3.
    • Tell the driver “Tivoli Hotel, Arni Magnussons Gade 2”.

By Car / Rental
